Small Electric Scooter
This is definitely a small electric scooter. It’s the Toyota Winglet and it may well be the future of personal transportation. If you are able to stand, but cannot or do not want to walk, this is for you. You’re not going to get where you’re going in a hurry, but it will get you there at about the same pace as walking.
At 22 pounds, it is light weight in comparison to other electric scooters and can be carried using the handle provided when the scooter folds down into a relatively small package. This small electric scooter has a body the size of an A3 sheet of paper and it has an electric motor, two wheels and internal sensors that are constantly monitoring the rider’s position and making adjustments in power and insuring stability. It has a parallel link mechanism that allows rider’s to go forward, backward and turn simply by shifting their body weight. Potentially, this makes the Toyota Winglet very useful in maneuvering in tight spaces and in crowded urban areas.
As previously mentioned, it is not built for speed. It cruises around at about 3.7 miles per hour, which is basically, walking speed. So it isn’t ideal for rushing anywhere, but it is nice for getting around a shopping mall or supermarket, even a large warehouse or office building.
The Toyota Winglet small electric scooter comes in three different sizes, small, medium and large. It ranges in height from 18 inches to 44 inches. There are also handle bars the raise to varying heights based you the rider’s height. Regardless of the model size, it is about 18 inches wide and 10 inches long. All models take approximately one hour to charge.
